Trade Fair History
The Northern New England Sled Dog Trade Fair & Seminars was created by Faye Krause and her daughter Wendy DeCroteau in 1995.
The first event was held in a Lebanon Maine School with a local veterinarian as a speaker and a handful of local vendors.
In 1996 it was held at the Rochester Fairgrounds in New Hampshire with Don McEwen, a distance musher from Ontario as the keynote speaker.
In 1997 - 2001 it moved to a fairground in Hiram, Maine - where it stayed for several years with speakers such as Joe Runyan, Jeff King, Dee Dee Jonrowe, Jamie Nelson.
2002-2003 to the Oxford Fairgrounds where speakers Aliy Zirkle, Libby Riddles and Ramy Brooks took the stage.
2004 The Trade Fair was hosted by Sendaishi Kennels in Manchester, NH
2005 - 2021 the Trade Fair moved to Hopkinton Fairgrounds with speakers Dee Dee Jonrowe, Jason Barron, Karen Ramstead, Lance Mackey, Mitch Seavey, Hugh Neff, Blake Freking, Johnn Molburg, Mike Ellis, Rene Marchildon, Tom Dimaggio, Ken Chezik, Aliy Zirkle, Allan Moore, Arleigh Reynolds, Jessie Royer.
2022 - the Trade Fair tried a new venue in Campton, NH and spent a great weekend with Mike Ellis as the main speaker.
2023 - a new venue has been found : Camp Carpenter, Manchester, NH which is a fantastic venue which will be used for many years to come.
Over the years this fair has had hundreds of volunteers and vendors that have helped make the fair what it is today and it would have been impossible without your help.
Thank you for ALL YOUR SUPPORT!
